Supporting our member organisations is at the heart of everything we do at SCVYS, and we are always honoured to shine a light on the incredible work they deliver every single day. In 2025, several of our members reached their 10‑year anniversary — a milestone that reflects not only their success, but their unwavering commitment to the young people of Staffordshire.
These ten‑year celebrations carry even deeper meaning when we remember that more than a decade has passed since the statutory youth service in Staffordshire closed. But where many saw an ending, many youth workers saw a beginning.
Instead of stepping back, they stepped forward. With passion, courage, and a determination to protect opportunities for young people, they used their skills and experience to build something new. Some created entirely new voluntary youth provisions; others strengthened existing ones — all united by a shared purpose: to ensure that young people continued to have safe spaces, positive activities, and trusted adults to turn to.
Today, we celebrate a true ‘decade of dedication’. These groups have grown beyond what anyone could have imagined. They have expanded their offers, found new venues, secured vital funding, and continued to show up — week after week, year after year — for the young people who need them most.
We are proud to honour the organisations reaching their 10‑year milestone alongside all of our fantastic members. Their journey is a testament to resilience, community spirit, and the belief that every young person deserves support and opportunity.
