Scouts

Scouts is all about trying new things, making friends, and having adventures. Young people can join at different ages:

Squirrels (aged 4–6)

Beavers (aged 6–8)

Cubs (aged 8–10½)

Scouts (aged 10½–14)

Explorers (aged 14–18)

Scout Network (aged18–25)

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing.

But, we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Everyone’s welcome at Scouts. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your young person’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. Discover your local group with the Scout Group Finder.

Guides

With guiding, girls have fun, adventure and the space to discover their potential. They go to their first ever sleepover, canoe on rivers, learn about body confidence, and lead their own camp. Or sometimes they simply have fun and try new things with friends.

Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. And to make a difference to the world around them.

Rainbows (aged 4-7): Rainbows welcomes all girls from 4 to 7 years old for play, learning and tons of fun in a colourful, safe space

Brownies (aged 7-10): Brownies welcomes all girls from 7 to 10 years old for non-stop fun, learning and adventure

Guides (aged 10-14): Guides is a relaxed, welcoming space for 10-14 year olds to have fun, learn and be yourself
