What support do we offer?

Setting up a new group/organisation

If you are looking to set up a new group/organisation, you will be allocated a designated Development Worker who can support you with all aspects of starting up and running your group. This will help to ensure the safety and well-being of children, young people and families, as well as volunteers, in an effective way.

This includes:

Becoming a member of SCVYS

To be eligible for membership, we ask for a set of minimum standards. This is to ensure that the groups/organisations we support are running as safely as possible and are growing in their strength and capability to deliver a programme of activities or support.

Associate Membership (appropriate for new groups starting up and working toward full membership)

We ask for:

**As an associate member, we can work with you towards full membership by supporting you to produce any additional policies and procedures.

Full membership (appropriate for existing organisations)

We ask for:

  • Online Level 2 Food Safety
  • Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2
  • Paediatric First Aid (fulfills Ofsted requirements)
  • Early Help
  • Dealing with Challenging Behaviour
  • Introduction to Youth Work
