The Junior Passport 2 Success Scheme encourages young people to take part in activities that fulfil the five pledges of the Government's Every Child Matters agenda - Being Healthy, Staying Safe, Making a Positive Contribution, Enjoying & Achieving and Economic Well-Being. The Junior Passport 2 Success has been developed by the Junior Youthwork Development Team as part of a package of support for voluntary sector junior youth work and those working with the 8-12 age range. The Junior Youthwork Development Project is managed by SCVYS in partnership with Staffordshire County Council Youth Service.
The Passport 2 Success is designed as a journey which provides learning opportunities and challenges whilst recognising children's achievements and successes along the way. Each child's journey will consist of visiting 5 destinations and at each destination children will set themselves 5 challenges. This scheme is an extension of its popular namesake for teenagers in Staffordshire. Both programmes are aimed at empowering young people to make a positive contribution to society and recognise the achievements of children and young people.
