Volunteer Co-Ordinator of the Year

SCVYS and vInvolved and delighted to annouce that Jane Reynolds Volunteer Co-Ordinator for the South Staffs and Chase area was awarded the Co-Ordinator of the year on Saturday 5th February at an awards ceremony at Cannock Golf Club.

The Volunteer Staffordshire website quoted:

"Jane coordinates and supports the Youth Action Teams in Cannock Chase and South Staffordshire. Her enthusiasm, hard work and commitment to the young people she works with has really paid off. She has regularly gone above and beyond the call of duty and has had a huge impact on the confidence and skills of the 16-25 year olds that she works with by getting them involved in community projects. Many of them have been able to use their volunteering experiences to get a job"
 
Jane was praised for her approach to helping people and for going the extra mile to help them to achieve their goals.

The award was presented by Michelle Mechem, Volunteer Centre Manager, Tamworth

CRB Checks for Organisations

SCVYS are a registered body with CRB and we are happy to carry out CRB checks for organisations who are non-members. The charge for a paid employee CRB check is £44.00 plus an admin fee of £17.00. For volunteers there is still an admin fee of £17.00 but the CRB check is free.
